Many people think when they buy an oil labeled "pure" that they are getting good oils. This is far from true. Unfortunately, not all essential oils are created equal. Most of the essential oils on the market are what is called "perfume quality" or "fourth & fifth quality" oils. This includes oils found in health food stores. I know of this first hand. I worked in a pharmacy in Encino Ca. on Ventura Blvd. that catered to the Movie Industry. They sold adulterated low grade products by promoting them with their own fancy label. If persons would have read the label, they would have known the items they purchased were not graded to accomplish anything, like a good quality therapeutic Grade would have. This type of action contributes to opposing statements made about the benefits of essential oil use, yet valuable research has concluded pure therapeutic grade essential oils and products such as Young Living are beneficial in the Home, Workplace, Hospitals, and the medical field to name a few.

To maintain all therapeutic qualities, essential oils mustbe extracted by steam distillation using extremely low pressure & low heat so as not to defile the quality of the oil.
